This course is aimed at all staff working in the Health and Social Care sector who have the day to day responsibility of caring and supporting a bariatric resident.
At the end of the training session, there is a written and practical assessment to evidence the learning of the attendees.

Demonstrate the principles of carrying out a risk assessment for bariatric moving and assisting.
Identify the range of bariatric equipment available
Discuss the importance of having the appropriate equipment in place for safe bariatric handling techniques.
Practical session including the use of a bariatric simulation suit.
