Founding residents invited to make their mark on new luxury care home

A new state of the art care home in Mappleborough Green is inviting its first residents to help establish the home and shape the future.

Haywood Lodge’s founding residents will all benefit from a reduced weekly fee for a fixed period while receiving all the usual, fully inclusive, benefits including regular hair and chiropody appointments, day trips and activities, a wide-ranging and nutritious menu, laundry, housekeeping, newspapers and magazines, and 24-hour care.

They will also be involved in setting up the new home, giving them the opportunity to help create new menus and plan activities and trips, alongside the care home’s brand-new team of care staff, managers and their very own activity co-ordinator.

As a thank you for their involvement, input, and ideas, the founding residents will pay a reduced weekly fee of £1,100 per week, a saving of £100 every week until the end of 2022.

Haywood Lodge, on Warwick Highway in Mappleborough Green, is Ideal Carehomes’ 30th care home. The care home has open plan social areas and ultra-wide corridors.

Residents will enjoy all the luxury facilities on offer at Haywood Lodge, including a cinema, café area, garden rooms, library, hair salon and convenience store.

Jacqui Harris, home manager at Haywood Lodge, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for our first residents to put their mark on their new home, helping us to create an environment and a lifestyle that all our residents will really enjoy.

“We have a fantastic new team here and we’re all looking forward to opening the doors of our beautiful new home and getting to know each and every one of our new residents and helping them to live life to the full and enjoy all the wonderful facilities we have here for them.”

Jacqui and her team are also inviting members of the community to nominate a local hero to officially open Haywood Lodge on Saturday, April 23. They are looking for someone from who has gone above and beyond to help others and support the local community.

As well as helping the care home to celebrate its grand opening, the winner will receive a £100 high street voucher and a goody bag.
